We aim to provide a warm, welcoming and friendly atmosphere. The church enjoys a variety of preachers offering flexibility in worship style.
The Church has a strong tradition in music and has benefited from the organ playing, keyboard, guitars and flute in worship bands of various descriptions. A children’s percussion band features at family and parade services.
If you are new to the area or are just simply curious, please feel free to stop by when we are open.

Church services during Coronavirus outbreak:
We are pleased to announce that we have now re-opened for Sunday services. Details of services planned for September can be found below.
We are aware, however, that there are many reasons why people may feel uncomfortable or uncertain about returning. No one should feel compelled to attend or guilty about not returning. We would like to assure everyone that the Circuit will be continuing to produce on-line worship resources for everyone and so, if you do not feel that it is right for you to come to church, then you can still be included in our worshipping community. Details of on-line worship can be found below.
Please note that if you feel unwell or experience any COVID-19 symptoms you must not attend the church.
Services will be different to normal. For example, there will be no singing (but hymn books and bibles will be in the pews for your use) and there will be no refreshments (although bottles of water will be available at the entrance). The services will also be much shorter.
Please also note that, to create a safer environment for everyone, you are required to wear face coverings unless you have a medical condition that prevents their use or if you are a child aged under 11.
You will appreciate that, to keep you and others safe, we have had to put in place various procedures as set out below. However, please be assured that the stewards will be on hand to assist you and to make your visit as welcoming and safe as possible.
Entering the Church
- When you arrive, we ask that you wait in a socially distanced queue at the external door until directed to enter by the door steward.
- You will then be requested to use the hand sanitiser.
- If you have previously left personal equipment (eg bibles, headphones, cushions etc) in the pews, these will now be near the entrance and should be collected before entering. Please return these at the end of the service as you may not be sitting in the same place on your next visit.
- Next you will be directed to a seat. Members of the same household or bubble may sit together but otherwise you should sit at least 2 metres from other people. To avoid people having to pass each other unnecessarily, the church will be filled from the front and sides. We ask people to co-operate by not insisting on sitting in a particular place.
You should then remain in your seat and not move about to, say, socialise with others.
Leaving the Church
At the end of the service, you should remain in your seat until directed to leave. You should then leave the church premises promptly and not stop to socialise with others. You may use the hand sanitiser on leaving.
Please leave the hymn books etc in the pews.
There will be a plate for offertories near the entrance.
Given that services will be shorter than normal, we ask that you avoid using the toilet unless absolutely necessary.
Test and Trace
To assist with “Test and Trace”, we will be maintaining a register of all who attend. If necessary, we may ask you for contact details.
